Grade: 12th

Background/interests/hobbies: I was born and raised in West Philadelphia, surrounded by female role models in all types of fields of work who constantly encouraged me to express my creativity. I did just that by expressing myself through my favorite things like writing poetry and reading books. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially when we cook, watch movies, or travel. I love fashion and hope to explore fashion journalism as well.

Reason for applying to the workshop: I applied to the Acel Moore program to expand my skill set and knowledge of what it means to be an active journalist and to hopefully gain connections that will help me in my future career.

Future plans: I plan to major in journalism at my university of choice and hopefully gain an internship or job at The Philadelphia Inquirer, The New York Times, or Vogue Magazine in my future!
