Grade: 11th grade.

Background/interests/hobbies: Meghan is a competitive gymnast, so she spends a lot of her time in the gym preparing for meets. “I have traveled all around the country to compete in regional and national competitions. In my free time, I enjoy reading.”

Reason for applying: “I applied to the Acel Moore Journalism program because I was curious to learn more about journalism. I hope to enhance my writing skills and learn more about AP style writing. I want to work on being able to communicate my thoughts more clearly.”

Looking ahead: Meghan hasn’t decided on a career yet. She hopes to gain tips and advice on how to succeed in communications, if she chooses that field.
