Background/Interests/Hobbies: Lyanneyaliz, who goes by Lyanne, was born and raised in Philadelphia. Her family comes from Puerto Rico. On her free time, she likes writing and reading. Her favorite movie is Dead Poets Society.

Reason for applying to the workshop: Lyanne applied to the workshop because she wants to be a print and/or digital journalist in the future. She wants to know more about the journalism field to prepare her for her upcoming career.

Looking ahead: In the future, Lyanne hopes to go to one of her top college choices. She wants to pursue journalism as her career, or possibly be a writer/poet.
