Zuha Mutan, 17, is a junior at William W. Bodine High School who studies International Affairs.
Mutan is a graduate of Julia Reynolds Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School and a current member of the National Honor Society. She also runs cross-country. With her impressive involvement in various programs, it is sometimes a challenge for Mutan to keep up with her own schedule.
Mutan is a member of Philadelphia Futures, which aids her in college preparation through their mock college interviews.
Young Women Rising, another program Mutan engages in, holds discussions open to young women which range from topics of feminism to stereotypes, and everything in between.
In addition, Mutan has participated in Youth Volunteer Corps, a program in which she has accumulated over one hundred service hours over the course of fewer than two years.
With her wide range of experience in many different areas, it seems Zuha Mutan will have no problem pursuing her career as a doctor, or even her alternate route as a journalist.
