Background/interests/hobbies: I have lived in Philadelphia my whole life, but I tend to travel a lot outside of the city. I like to write, read, and paint. I like activities that are therapeutic and enjoyable for me. I like shopping and hanging out with my friends. But I also like activities that foster my creativity and determination to complete them.
Reason for applying to the workshop: The reason I applied to this program initially was to further my interests in writing. However, as I was applying, I saw photography. Photography caught my eye because I like seeing photos. Just like writing, photos tell a visual representation without the words you see in a story. I like visual storytelling, whether that’s art or photos. Just by that, I knew I wanted to do photography.
Future plans: Life is always changing like my future plans. As of right now, I plan on focusing on colleges I want to attend as an rising senior. I want to also focus on what I want to do lifelong that makes me happy.
