Alec Branch is an 18-year-old senior at St. Joseph’s Prep. From an early age, he developed a love for writing. He started writing creatively, then joined his high school newspaper, the Hawkeye. Before that, he covered sports for his middle school publication.
Alec wants to pursue a career in sports journalism, and if by chance he has a change of heart, he will turn to his second love — music. Alec is moving on parallel tracks, and hasn’t ruled out becoming a music critic one day. He plays the trumpet, and when he’s not busy with school work, he can be found playing jazz and classic music at his leisure.
Like most basketball fans in the region, Alec sees the 76ers as a team on the rise. If Joel Embiid can stay healthy, he sees the Sixers as being a championship caliber team in a few years.
